Rick Wright began building his base of beer distribution knowledge from the ground up almost three decades ago. Starting his career in Southern New England on the distributor side of the business, he followed the not so traditional sales path from merchandiser to sales manager. Soon after making the leap from distributor to supplier he emerged as a senior sales leader, first at the Latrobe Brewing Co., then Labatt USA and Interbrew USA, ultimately rising to the position of VP Sales.
In 2001 Rick was recruited by Heineken USA to spearhead a new distributor network development practice. Over the past nine years, he has led the successful integration of the CCM (Mexican) portfolio and Newcastle brands into the Heineken USA network while guiding the company through the turbulent environment of distributor and supplier consolidation. He has also shaped the company’s Distributor Council into a dynamic partnership that actively bridges network lines. Many of the distribution management efforts developed under his watch have been recognized as global best practices by parent company Heineken NV.
Rick currently serves as one of the select supplier members of Tamarron’s Independent Industry Council. Along with securing a Masters Certification in Applied Project Management from Villanova University, Rick is an active PMP and a certified member of the Project Management Institute.
